The Yuba City Charter School is a K-12 public school located in Yuba City, California. Yuba City Charter School is a character-based program that teaches children how to exhibit good character. The school uses an independent learning model in which students are encouraged to work at their own pace. The student-teacher ratio for K-3 is less than 20:1 and in the 4-12 classes there are no more than 33 students with a full-time teacher and aide in each class. Yuba City Charter School also encourages community service and parent participation in the school. Yuba City Charter School has been accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges since 2003. The school has been in operation since August 2000. It is located on the property of North Valley Calvary Chapel.
