You Bet is a small unincorporated community mining town in Nevada County, California, United States.[1] You Bet is located 5.5 miles (8.9 km) northeast of Chicago Park.[2] The town was founded in 1858, on the Sierra Nevada Range, and is bordered by the Yuba and Bear Rivers.
History [edit]
The name You Bet was given to the town because it was the favorite expression of the local saloon keeper.[2] A post office was established on May 11, 1868, and discontinued October 15, 1903.[3]
