The following is the list of Turkish order of precedence approved by the President of Turkey and administered by the Directorate of Protocols of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, incorporating the latest corrections on 8 May 2008.[1] This is a hierarchy of officials in the Turkish Republic used to direct protocol for domestic ceremonies, hence it does not involve any foreign dignitaries. It also does not contain the President of Turkey, since he is the head of the state and assumed to be at the top of the list naturally.

  2. The Prime Minister of Turkey (Recep Tayyip Erdoğan)
  3. The Chief of the Turkish General Staff (Necdet Özel)
  4. The leader of the major opposition party (Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu)
  5. Former Presidents of Turkey, in order of appointment (Kenan Evren, Süleyman Demirel, Ahmet Necdet Sezer)
  6. The President of the Constitutional Court of Turkey (Haşim Kılıç)
  7. First President of the High Court of Appeals of Turkey (Nazım Kaynak)
  8. The Chief Justice of the Turkish Council of State (Hüseyin Karakullukçu)
  9. Ministers of the Government
  10. Chiefs of the Turkish Armed Forces
  11. Four star Generals and Admirals
  12. The President of the Turkish Higher Education Institution (Yusuf Ziya Özcan)
  13. Deputy Chairmans of the Parliament
  14. Leaders of the political parties that have groups in the Parliament
  15. Secretary Members and Administrative Members of the Parliament
