Tom McDonald (born 18 September 1992) is a professional Australian rules football player at the Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was recruited by the club in the 2010 National Draft, with pick number 53. McDonald made his debut in Round 23, 2011, against Gold Coast at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. McDonald received a 2012 AFL Rising Star nomination for his game against Greater Western Sydney in Round 13, 2012.[1]
After a successful second year, McDonald finished third in Melbournes best and fairest in 2012 placing behind Jack Grimes and winner Nathan Jones
