Tianzhu (Chinese: 天竺, Pinyin: tianzhu; Japanese: Tenjiku (天竺); meaning "heaven"[1]) is the obsolete Chinese word for ancient India, also used in Japanese as "Tenjiku". It is used in such works as the Japanese translation of Journey to the West.
