A storm cell is an air mass that contains up and down drafts in convective loops, moves and reacts as a single entity, and functions as the smallest unit of a storm-producing system.

Tornado sirens were activated in Liberty, because the same storm cell that passed through Hannibal was tracking toward Liberty, Simon said. "We'll know more later today after we can (get around) and make some assessments," Simon said Tuesday morning.
