Sify has been certified in ISO / IEC 20000 - 1:2011 and ISO/IEC 27001:2005 certified for Internet Data Center operations. Sify has been certified in SSAE16 SOC2 Type II for Cloud Infrastructure. Sify has licenses to operate NLD (National Long Distance) and ILD (International Long Distance) services and offers VoIP backhaul for international carriers. With the Sify Cable landing station and partnerships with submarine cable companies globally, Sify is present in almost all the spheres of the ICT eco system.
A significant part of the company’s revenue is derived from Enterprise Services, comprised of Telecom services, Data Center services, Cloud and Managed services, Applications Integration services and Technology Integration services. Sify also provides services that cater to the burgeoning demands of the SMB community, much of it on its Cloud services platform.
The company has an expanding base of Managed Services customers, both in India and overseas, and is India’s first enterprise managed services provider to launch a Security Operations Center (SOC) to deliver managed security services. The software team develops applications and offers services to improve business efficiencies of its current and prospective client bases. Raju Vegesna, Chairman & Managing Director
Raju Vegesna is an Executive and Entrepreneur who has leveraged his technology vision and leadership skills into a multi-decade series of successes in high technology industries. Mr. Vegesna currently serves as the Chairman and Managing Director of Sify Technologies Limited, a publicly traded ICT services company based in India after having purchased a majority stake in 2005. Realizing the emerging potential for Enterprise IT business both within and outside India, Mr. Vegesna set about aligning the company’s focus towards the same. Less than half a decade later, Sify is now recognized as a leader in the fast growing segments of ICT services, managed IT services, Connectivity, Voice and Cloud services. In recognition of his entrepreneurial achievements, Raju was honoured at the India Splendor Award event at UCLA in 2007. Philanthropy is important to Raju. Through his personal initiatives and his U.S. and India charitable organizations, The Raju Vegesna Foundation and The Raju Vegesna Foundation (India), Raju has undertaken an ambitious programs to address the availability of clean water and education for communities in need; several large projects have already been completed, and many more are planned in addressing these critical issues.
Kamal Nath, Chief Executive Officer
Kamal Nath joined Sify to drive Sify 3.0, the vision to make Sify Technologies a Services and Solutions leader. His entrepreneurial style of functioning along with strategic vision, innovation and leadership skills has seen him play several roles across different business units of HCL. In a career spanning 22 years, he has accumulated in-depth knowledge of Systems Integration Services, IT Infrastructure Management Services, Technology Integration Services & Strategic Outsourcing. His experience and engagement with customers of various verticals encompassing BFSI, Public Services, Energy & Utilities, Large Business Conglomerates, Manufacturing, Retail and others will be a key asset at Sify. Kamal holds a degree in Electronics and Communications from BIT, Sindri.
M.P. Vijay Kumar, Chief Financial Officer
Vijay Kumar, a rank holder in Chartered Accountancy, is a Cost Accountant and Company Secretary. He joined Sify in 2007 as the CFO and has been a key member of Sify’s transformation into a leading Enterprise IT Infra and Services player. He is a Member of the Accounting Standards Board of ICAI, Accounting Standards Board of CII, Task Force on Accounting for Rate Regulated entities Editorial Board of SIRC of ICAI, Corporate Laws committee of ICAI and also member of several study groups of ICAI on Accounting Standards, Audit Assurance Standards and Company Law. He is a prominent speaker on the professional circuit in India, the Middle East and South East Asia on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Indian Accounting Standards, Management Audit, Corporate Laws and Capital Market. A well referenced resource person on Accountancy, Corporate Laws and Capital market, he is associated with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and Bharatidasan Institute of Management (BIM). Also a successful author, he has over 8 popular titles on Accounting, Accounting Standards, Audit Standards and Company Law that have since enjoyed continuous reprints
David Nishball, Chief Strategy Officer
David Nishball is one of the leading experts in building and managing Enterprise telecom operations in the Asia Pacific Region, having led the Enterprise segment for a number of global operators, joint venture companies, and emerging market operators. He brings over twenty eight years of experience spanning various roles and functions in the telecommunications industry, including 18 years in the Asia Pacific Region. David was a founding officer of WorldPartners Company, a global telecommunications services venture between AT&T, KDD (Japan), Singapore Telecom and Unisource, serving as the Vice President, Marketing. David holds a Master of Business Administration (Honors) with focus on Finance and Operations Research from the University of California, at Berkeley, Haas School of Business, and is also a Bachelor of Arts graduate in Economics with Engineering emphasis from the University.
