History[edit]
Being one of the two SM Supermalls to be opened in the year 1997 (the other being SM City Fairview), SM Prime Holdings prides itself to be a leading shopping mall developer in the Philippines. Construction of the mall started in 1996 as a 3-level shopping complex. However, due to demands of Bacoor municipal government and the residents to make the shopping complex much bigger, and due to growing population of the municipality that time, SM Prime Holdings then decided to make it a 5-level shopping complex, enough to accommodate and serve the needs of people of Bacoor and its neighboring towns. The grand opening of the mall was held on July 25, 1997.
Mall features[edit]
The mall is a part of SM's triplets; its interior and exterior designs are likely similar to SM City Fairview and SM City Iloilo, particularly pointing out to the wave design of their roofs. Claimed the title for being the biggest mall in Cavite for 14 years, the title was grabbed by its sister mall, SM City Dasmariñas in 2011 after surpassing its gross floor area by 1,000 square meters. However, it remains as one of the biggest landmarks in the province and the biggest building erected in the city of Bacoor.
Main Building[edit]
The main building is a five-level shopping complex, with the first four levels being occupied and given out to several major tenants and numerous minor tenants. The entire 5th level (4th floor) is currently unoccupied.
Warehouse Building[edit]
The warehouse building is located at the western side of the main building.
Parking Space[edit]
Wide parking spaces are available at the back of the mall. A separate parking lot extension is located at the front of the mall.
Future Expansion[edit]
Expansion plans are getting underway for the mall complex. The project calls for the development of the wide grassland beside the west wing of the mall into a new annex building. It will house some 200+ shops and a BPO component. The expansion is set to start by 2014.
