People say that when Rama beheaded the Demon Thataki, her head was fallen here.So the village named as Ralindi. During the course of time the name changed as Relangi. Still there is a Temple by name Thatakeswara Swamy Temple Which was believed that the Temple was constructed on the head of Thataki. Here the people celebrate Veerabhadrudi Sambaraalu Also. During this festival they beat each other with "EETHA KAAYALU". As a miracle it will not give any pain to them at that time and they enjoy it.
