Teen Nick and Nick Jr [edit]
Programming [edit]
Nick India contains a lot of cartoon programmes that appeal to children such as SpongeBob SquarePants and Ninja Hattori-kun. In addition, there are educational shows for toddlers, like Dora The Explorer, are featured in Nick India's pre-school block, Nick Jr.
Nickelodeon India now broadcasts programmes aimed at preschoolers in Nick Jr. and teen programmes in Teen Nick. This has been done so that the content can be divided to the appropriate age group.
When the channel was launched, it aired mostly original programs. A few of them are Klasky Csupo programs, like Rugrats, Aaahh! Real Monsters, As told by Ginger, Rocket Power, The Wild Thornberrys and other animated shows like The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Rocko's Modern Life, Angry Beavers, CatDog, Hey Arnold!, The Fairly Odd Parents and Danny Phantom. The network used to air live action shows as well, such as Kenan & Kel, Drake and Josh, Clarissa Explains It All, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Nick Bites and many more. Recently, Nickelodeon India is becoming more diverse from all of its international counterparts. Nickelodeon hardly broadcasts original shows and continuously airs third party shows. The reason is unknown.
