History [edit]

The channel was launched on the 28 March 2008 by the INX Network, which was then headed by Indrani Mukerjea.[2][3]

NewsX is India's first HDTV enabled channel. The presentation is minimalistic in its on-screen graphics and activity. The present colour scheme includes simple black backgrounds with yellow and white text.[citation needed]

On 9 January 2009, it was announced that NewsX had been purchased by Indi-Media Network, a partnership between the NaiDunia CEO Vinay Chhajlani and former Businessworld editor Jehangir Pochaa.[4]

In September 2010, NewsX announced its intention to re-brand as IMN News.

Information TV Private Limited (India News)[5] acquired News X in all out buy deal. [6]

The reigning MD of the Group is Mr. Kartikeya Sharma. [7]
