NOVA Cyprus is a Cypriot digital satellite pay television service owned by Multichoice Cyprus. NOVA launched in July 2004 and was the first DTH satellite provider to launch in Cyprus. It is one of two satellite platforms, the other being Athina Sat.
Since November 2007, NOVA Cyprus is also available via PrimeTV IPTV service of PrimeTel.[1]
NOVA offers Cypriot subscribers an array of programming choices from News, Sports, Movies, Children's & Entertainment.
From 1 July 2011 both LTV and Alfa removed definitely from NOVA Cyprus because the two sides were not able to come to an agreement after the dissolution of Multichoice Cyprus. Then NOVA Cyprus is under the control of Forthnet and Multichoice Hellas and during the summer/fall will be added HD service (NovaCinema HD, NovaSports HD etc.) from NOVA Greece and some other channels.
