Meenambakkam (Tamil: மீனம்பாக்கம்) is a town in Kancheepuram district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The Chennai International Airport Cargo Terminal is situated here. The neighbourhood is served by Meenambakkam railway station. It also has a hillock nearby.
AAI (Airports Authority of India, earlier Civil Aviation Colony) Quarters is located in Meenambakkam. It houses around 200 families. Durga Pooja, Ayyappa Pooja, Sri Rama Navami are conducted in the Community Hall located in the colony. The Colony is close to the Meenambakkam Domestic terminal, flying club and the Meenambakkam International airport. There are two schools in the colony—the Civil Aviation Middle school and the Little Flower Nursery School. Both cater to the students residing in Meenambakkam, Palavanthangal and Nanganallur. The colony is also close to the Jain College in Meenambakkam. At walking distance from the colony, are two intra-city electric train stations (Meenambakkam and Palavanthangal), providing further access to the schools, colleges, residents of the colony and interior streets. Meenambakkam has cricket teams like OMCC.

As of 2001[update] India census,[1] Meenambakkam had a population of 3609. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Meenambakkam has an average literacy rate of 86%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 90%, and female literacy is 83%. In Meenambakkam, 7% of the population is under 6 years of age.
