This is a list of solar eclipses in the 5th century BC. During the period 500 to 401 BC there were 241 solar eclipses of which 84 were partial, 78 were annular (two non-central), 62 were total, and 17 were hybrids. The greatest number of eclipses in one year was five, in 439 BC, and one month, May 417 BC, had two eclipses.[1]
