Jeepers Creepers 2 is a 2003 American horror film written and directed by Victor Salva, produced by American Zoetrope, Capitol Films, Myriad Pictures and distributed by United Artists, a Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer division. The film is a sequel to the 2001 horror film Jeepers Creepers.
The movie begins days after the events of the first film. A farmer, Jack Taggart, Sr. (Ray Wise) is putting up fence posts while his son, Jack Jr. (Luke Edwards) is repairing their truck. Billy Taggart (Shaun Fleming) sets up some of the scarecrows in the farm's cornfield. One of the scarecrows in the field begins to move on its own. Billy runs to get his brother, but the "scarecrow" comes to life and sweeps down on him. Jack Sr. and Jack Jr chase after Billy and his captor until the "scarecrow" sprouts its wings and disappears into the sky with Billy grasped in its talons.
A high school basketball team by the name of the Bannon County High School Bantams, with their coaches and cheerleaders had become stranded on the east 9 highway at Kissel County. After the bus driver have been failing to call for help for several hours, they decide to drive back on the school bus with the remaining tires. As night approaches, one of the cheerleading girls, Minxie (Nicki Aycox), has a mysterious dream that later transforms into her nightmare for the first time while she was mysteriously was dreaming about Billy Taggart and Darry Jenner (Justin Long) who are silently and frantically trying to warn her, her friends, her coaches and the bus driver about the Creeper (Jonathan Breck), who she sees as a black silhouette, tossing a shuriken that hits the tire and deflates it, forcing everyone to go outside as a car could ram into the bus at 90 MPH. One of the coaches begins setting up road flares to alert incoming vehicles that they have broken down, but is taken by the Creeper once a safe distance away from the group. The driver and remaining coach force the teens back into the bus. The Creeper returns, taking the bus driver as she set more flares. The remaining coach asks the teens what they saw: "She flew away". As everyone begins losing their cool, the other coach prepares to look around until the Creeper grabs him with its talon-like feet and flies off with him while the teens on the bus watch in terror.
Meanwhile, Jack Sr. and his son weld a home-made harpoon-gun to their truck and craft some of harpoons to shoot the Creeper down. Consumed by anger, Jack Sr. hears a radio report that could possibly lead him to his son's murderer, the Creeper, and heads out with Jack Jr.
In the meantime, the teens on the bus are toyed with inside the bus by the Creeper as it picks out the kids it wants to eat, making them increasingly paranoid. Minxie falls unconscious, having another dream that later turns out to be the rest of her nightmare, where Darry's spirit tells her everything about the Creeper. Waking up, she tells her friends from what she had learned, forcing them to try some radioing for some help; however, some are skeptical, thinking Minxie has been doing drugs. The Taggarts, who are still hearing their distress calls, answer them after seeing another car that fell victim to the Creeper, telling them that they are on their way. The teens celebrate the good news, but the Creeper attacks one of them (Bucky), trying to pull his head through the roof. Luckily, another teen uses a javelin (leftover from a previous trip) to impale the creature through his head; this forces it to tear the javelin out along with the left side of its head. Wounded, the Creeper flies up into the sky, only to crash back down into the bus, jamming the doors shut.
Its wing crashes through the roof of the bus, grabbing one of the teens and eating his head. Decapitating himself, the Creeper regrows his new head, and flies off. One of the teens, now overwhelmed with fright, decides to toss the "will be eaten" off the bus to keep those who won't safe. This leads to a confrontation between him and the others, who know the Creeper wants him as well. Everyone gets off the bus, deciding to look for help at a nearby farm. As it turns out, the Creeper is still, merely waiting for them while they decided to go back to their bus to warn one of the other teens to open the doors as he flies all the way down to get them while they abandon their bus and they decided to run away for their lives. The Creeper takes out two teens while the rest of the others get away. Meanwhile back on the road, the Taggarts find Minxie, who tells them about the Creeper's near-invincibility; they have her lead them back to bus anyway. Meanwhile, two of the other teens manage to hide out in the bus, but they become terrified to death when Bucky returns. Because the Creeper didn't pick them, they keep their distance since the Creeper may try to get him. At that moment, the Creeper tries pulling Bucky through the hole in the roof, but the Taggarts reach the bus and scare the Creeper by flashing their headlights.
Jack Sr. fires a harpoon made with a knife that the Creeper had left behind, during his abduction of Billy, landing a direct hit in its left shoulder; he meant to hit the Creeper's heart. However, the Creeper removes the harpoon and throws it back at him, nearly killing Jack Jr. The Creeper makes another attack on the bus, but Jack Sr. harpoons it again (through the bus windows), knocking it into the distance. An enraged Creeper flies up into the sky once more, shredding his disguise off for better mobility. The sheer force of the creature's pull on the rope tears it through the roof of the bus. The Taggarts abandon their vehicle just as the rope causes it to overturn; the Creeper leaves them alone, heading off to find the other teens.
Rhonda, Izzy and "D" find an abandoned truck that had been driven by another victim of the Creeper. Then suddenly, they see the Creeper has come back. So, they decided to take the truck, only to be chased by the Creeper. However, Izzy cleverly pushes Rhonda out of the truck as he decided to step on the brakes until the Creeper reaches the teen in the back of the truck as the creature flies right through the window, causing the truck to overturn. Izzy climbs out from the wreckage while "D" wakes up, finding his leg badly injured. The truck which overturns and Izzy who comes out of the truck which explodes, making the Creeper, that has survived as well, wake up. It smells the fear of the nearby teen, preparing to go after him; however, it finds both of its wings missing, along with an arm and a leg as well. It "leap frogs" after the teen, pouncing on him. As the Creeper is about to eat the teen to replace his lost limbs, Jack Sr. shoots a harpoon into its head. The Creeper is unable to defend itself as Jack Sr. stabs it in the heart 33 times with a harpoon. The Creeper apparently succumbs to its wounds, closing its "face wings". Minxie explains that the Creeper didn't die; its time ran out, so the Creeper is in hibernation until another 23 years to pass and it will come back by making itself to awaken for the sate off of its hunger for its revenge. A skeptical Jack Sr. stabs the Creeper once more and, upon seeing no reaction, believes that Minxie is almost wrong and said: "It looks dead to me."
For the 23 years, the Taggarts keep the mangled corpse of the Creeper, in his barn, as a roadside attraction. People from all over come to see the "Bat Out of Hell'. Always sitting in the barn with his home made harpoon gun, a man asks Jack Sr. what he is waiting for, his response? "About three more days, give or take a day or two"
