Istočna Ilidža (Cyrillic: Источна Илиџа) is a municipality in Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Istočna Ilidža is a one of the six municipalities of the City of East Sarajevo (Serbian cyrillic:Град Источно Сарајево). It was also known as Srpska Ilidža (Српска Илиџа), as well as Kasindo (Касиндо) and was created from part of the pre-war municipality of Ilidža (the other part of the pre-war municipality is now in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina). There have been some proposals for the municipality to be merged with that of Istočno Novo Sarajevo.^[1]

Due to the changes in the municipal borders because of the Bosnian War, it is only possible to estimate the area's population at 20,000.(as of 2004.)^[2]
