Imizu (射水市 Imizu-shi) is a city located in Toyama, Japan.
As of August 1, 2011, the city has an estimated population of 93,215 and a population density of 854 persons per km². The total area is 109.18 km².
The city was founded on November 1, 2005.

Merger [edit]
- On November 1, 2005, the city of Shinminato and the municipalities of Daimon, Kosugi, Ōshima and Shimo (all from Imizu District) merged to form the new city of Imizu. Imizu District was dissolved as a result of this merger.

Transportation [edit]
The Hokuriku Main Line passes through Imizu with stations at Kosugi and Daimon.
Trams run along the Manyōsen Shinminato Harbor Line between Koshinokata Station in the north of Imizu and Rokudōji Station in the northwest, from which there is a connecting line to Takaoka.
The Hokuriku Expressway and National Routes 8, 415 and 472 all pass through Imizu.
