The Fairfax County Government Center is the headquarters for the Fairfax County, Virginia local government. It is the meeting place of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, as well as the County Executive. Naturalization ceremonies are also held at the center,[1] as well as flu shot distribution and many other bureaucratic institutions.[2] It is west of the City of Fairfax in an unincorporated area in Fairfax County.[3] The sprawling complex has been dubbed the "Taj Mahal," first by its opponents.[4] The term, however, has now become a common nickname for the center among locals .
