Bhucho is a peaceful city mainly known for its hospitality. People are very cooperative here. You may call it as city of Engineers & Doctors

Bhucho Mandi is a city and a municipal council in Bathinda district in the state of Punjab, India.

Demographics[edit]

As of 2001 India census,[1] Bhucho Mandi had a population of 13,183. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Bhucho Mandi has an average literacy rate of 63%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 69% and female literacy of 56%. 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Economy[edit]

Mandi is in the peak of development and have become central hub in Punjab for its exquisite marbles, tiles and carpets work. The city has become the center for the trade for farmers coming from near by villages. New development of Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences & Research & Engineering college has borough name in well known cities to work and live in.

Bhucho Mandi area has one of the biggest food-grain and cotton markets in Bathinda District.

Industries in Bhucho Mandi include, cotton ginning, rice mil, non woven fabric carry bag, cotton cake & oil factories.

Smallest city having MacDonalds,KFC and Subway like restaurants.

Baba Harnam Singh Chownk is the largest chownk of Punjab situated outside the mandi
