Religion Islam

Ahsan Khan ([citation needed]) is a Pakistani film and television actor, host and performer.[1] He first began acting in 1998. He appeared in the films Nikah, Ghar Kab Aao Gay, Ishq Khuda, Dil Mera Dharkan Teri and later moved on to television. He has since appeared in many different drama serials and soaps. He hosted a quiz show Hayya Allal Falah on Hum TV in 2011, during Ramadan, and will host the show again in 2012.[2]

Career[edit]

Ahsan Khan began acting when he appeared in Nikah and the very same year did Hans Ki Chaal for PTV. Nikaah was a super hit while the play, with Firdaus Jamal and Sana, was not as successful. Ghar Kab Aao Gay, the film in which Indian singers were introduced for the first time under pseudonyms, was also a hit.

Khan later appeared in the late Ashfaque Ahmed's Shala Kot. He is a regular host on different television channels.[3]

In 2013, he performed at the Hum Awards first ceremony alongside Mehwish Hayat. Recently, there have been mild reports suggesting Khan has signed on to an Indian film directed by director Deepti Naval. This will be his first film project in Bollywood.[4]

Ahsan Khan recently dabbled in music, singing the title OST for his drama "Khoya Khoya Chand."

Personal life[edit]

Ahsan Khan was born into a Muslim family in Umerkot. He has an identical twin brother, two elder sisters and an older brother. During his childhood, Khan's family frequently moved between Karachi and Umerkot. He was doing a Masters degree in English Literature from Government College University, Lahore, but had to postpone it because of acting. He is married and has a daughter and 2 sons.
