Adrien Rabiot (French pronunciation: [adʁjɑ̃ ʁabjo]; born 3 April 1995) is a French footballer who plays for Paris Saint-Germain F.C. as a central midfielder.

Rabiot is a French youth international, having represented his nation up to under-21 level.

Club career[edit]

Rabiot was born in Saint-Maurice, Val-de-Marne, and played youth football for several teams, including three spells at US Créteil-Lusitanos and a few months at Manchester City. On 2 July 2012, after excelling at the Camp des Loges, he signed his first professional contract agreeing to a three-year deal with Paris Saint-Germain FC.[1]

Rabiot was promoted to the senior team by manager Carlo Ancelotti ahead of the 2012–13 season.[2] In the club's pre-season he started in the penalty shootout defeat to FC Barcelona,[3] and, on 26 August, played his first game in Ligue 1, a 0–0 home draw against FC Girondins de Bordeaux.[4]

Rabiot made his UEFA Champions League debut on 6 November 2012, playing injury in a 4–0 group stage home win over GNK Dinamo Zagreb.[5] In January of the following year he was loaned to fellow top-divisioner Toulouse FC,[6] scoring his first professional goal on 9 March 2013 which was the game's only at Stade Brestois 29, from 25 yards.[7]

Rabiot started the 2015–16 Ligue 1 season by getting sent-off for two yellow cards after only 29 minutes in the opening match against Lille OSC.[8]

International career[edit]

On 13 August 2013, aged just 18, Rabiot made his first appearance for the French under-21 team, starting in a 0–0 friendly draw with Germany in Freiburg.[9]
