Addams Family Reunion is a 1998 film based on The Addams Family television series (which was in turn based on the cartoons of Charles Addams). While created mainly for the direct-to-video market, it did premiere first on television on Fox Family. It is not a continuation of the two Paramount Addams Family films from 1991 and 1993, but is instead a reboot of the franchise.
This film also served as a pilot of sorts for the television series The New Addams Family, showing that a lush theatrical look (similar to the Paramount films) could be achieved on a much smaller budget. So far, the film is only available on VHS and has not had a DVD release. It was shot in Los Angeles, California.

Discovering that his grandparents have developed "Waltzheimer's disease", Gomez organizes a family reunion, hoping that some branch of his enormous family tree will find a cure. Unfortunately, the company arranging the reunion misspells his surname and reunites him with the Adams family instead, including Dr. Philip Adams, who plans to poison his father and rearrange his will.
Gomez hopes that Dr. Adams can cure his grandparents; Morticia spends time with the women; Fester and Thing do their best to capture Butcher, a mutated puppy who feeds on human hair; and Pugsley falls in love with a girl named Gina.
Cast [edit]
Both Carel Struycken and Christopher Hart (Lurch and Thing) reprised their roles from the previous films. Because this film is otherwise unrelated to the previous two, different actors were cast in the main roles.
