The 2013 Campeonato Pernambucano, whose official name now is 2013 Pernambucano Coca-Cola for sponsorship reasons, is the 99th edition of the state championship football Pernambuco. With the return of Copa do Nordeste in 2013 and the participation of three teams Pernambuco (Santa Cruz, Sport and Salgueiro), the formula of this edition will not be the same as adopted in the previous championship. The competition is scheduled to start on January 20 and conclude on May 19.
In the first phase, the championship will be played in two rounds. In the first round, that does not count with the teams participating in the 2013 Copa do Nordeste, the nine remaining clubs play each other in the points system consecutive games with only one way. The club who obtains the highest number of points ensures the right to a place in the 2014 Copa do Brasil. The second round will feature twelve clubs, with the inclusion of Santa Cruz, Sport and Willow, who play each other in the system of points earned in games only outward. The top four teams qualify for the finals and the eight remaining teams vying for an octagonal where the last two are demoted to Série A2 in 2014. In the finals, the top four teams compete for a second round knockout crossover: 1st to 4th and 2nd to 3rd in clashes roundtrip. The winners of the semi-finals qualify for the final, which will also be played in round to decide the winner.
