The 1956 New York Giants season was a championship season for the Giants. After finishing with an 8–3–1 record, the Giants would win their fourth NFL Championship by defeating the Chicago Bears 47–7. This would be the Giants last championship season for thirty years.

  • July 27, 1956: Andy Robustelli was traded from the Los Angeles Rams to the New York Giants in exchange for the Giants First Round selection.[1]
